I've now succesfully used Airalo in Japan, Philippines, EU & UK. It hasn't let me down & I've saved a bundle using Airalo vs. the daily rate from my normal provider.
The eSIM worked well in Vietnam but performed very badly in Laos. Connection was very slow when it did decide to connect. Local person travelling with me had connection the whole time. I had to rely on free WiFi connection at my accommodation
